I have always been fascinated with the relationship between the human body and mind. Every day i learn something new about the way humans express emotions, their intellect, their background, and their overall reasoning behind certain actions. I do not steer towards creating dark images simply to create a certain aesthetic, but rather to inflict my personal perspective of the majority of people in society, ultimately I try to create visual images that connect to my perception of people. My pieces have a range of themes such as narcissism, the deprivation of intelligent thought, the lack of goodness in the heart, nightmares and physical deficiencies, inflicted pain and distrust in human relations, cynicism correlated with growing older, and the animalistic nature of humans.

I work meticulously to create concepts behind my pieces but i do not always like to reveal my personal meaning because i want my work to be subjective to its audience. During the process of creating i’ve started to create for myself, it’s a way for me to turn my thoughts or experiences into tangible physical objects. After i feel full in the process of creating i want to to make sure that my imagery can somehow relate to the audience, i want it to evoke a certain response out of people.
I’m constantly playing with mediums and different tools in which i can create pieces so that the medium i use reflects my imagery and the subject matter within it. I’ll can create a series of pencil drawings and then move onto a multi-media piece. I don’t have a favorite medium but i like being able to play with stylizing imagery in any medium or format. |
